I have to admit, it's a pretty good game. I'm on mission 5 of the campaign, playing at the heroic difficulty. Probably not the best thing to do the first time out since you want to spend tiem to explore the maps and find all the hidden goodies. I've missed 2 black boxes so far but I did get the grunt b-day party skull in the second mission.
The civilian rescue mission (#4) is very frustrating. You have to learn to not venture too far to the east as the covenant will make you pay for it. I tried to rescue Adam too soon as well and I guess he died since I didn't get the achievement. All in all though the game is solid. As Monkey King said, it gives you the feel of Halo when the Spartans were in their prime. Watching a Spartan with a laser sniper the covenant never gets old.
Overall I'd say two thumbs up for now. I have yet to play multiplayer or co-op but I'm sure I will.

Halo Wars is exclusively on xbox 360. Halo:Combat Evolved was exclusievly on the Xbox, and then it went to PC, we will probably see it sooner or later. I highly doubt Halo Wars will hit the PC. It's controls would be worthless on a PC.

Why wouldn't a PC version of Halo Wars have a Controller option too?

we should all just get it and play it on the 360, so we can have a common game again that or find the love in halo 3 or both

I'll give two reasons it probably will never see a PC. First, Ensemble Studios is gone. Even though Robot Entertainment has picked up the title for updates and possible additions, I highly doubt they'll take on rewriting the code to run on a PC. Second, when Halo Wars was announced way back when it was stated that it's an XBox 360 exclusive. Meaning that Ensemble was paid very well to create and code the game only for the XBox 360.
I'm not against a PC version but I just don't think it'll ever happen guys.

The game was DESIGNED for 360. Every other 360 RTS was a PC port. Halo Wars as an RTS would be absolute shit on PC and nobody would play it. PC RTS's are for microing. There's no microing at all in this game.

I agree with Roggie. I was looking around on you tube the other day to find HW related stuff and all I found was a bunch on PC snobs flaming the game. As for me, I like not having to micro every little thing. HW still has enough to do to keep you happy though. As for FrK I was going to see if you might want to do a little 1 v 1 v1 with Joe and I over the weekend. Maybe if we felt froggy enough we might try 3 v 3 on live.
P.S. zangief, Steel avalanche and monkey King79 are both up for some Game Battles scrimmies.

I do kind of enjoy the no microing, but I wish there was some to it. Not the extremes there are in another one, but I do miss seeing peons or wisps running back and forth to a gold mine.

I do dislike the population cap though. I'll be right in the thick of things a try to build another unit and I get population limit reached. I understand why they did it and yes I know you can increase it through research but it's still annoying.

yes but much higher than 40 and that's not 40 total units as some units cost several population points.
