yeah, that was fun, and I can't believe we never actually finished that. We got down to the semi finals or finals and then I got busy and never made the last posts. Perhaps I will go find it and we can make our final votes.

Fable 2? Good game, fun as hell, but NO replay value to me. I couldn't play through it again, and I'm someone who plays through RPGs 4 or 5 times...

Day Three: Top Games #15-11Broken faces, endless exploration, terrifying darkness and unfinished fights are a few of the things you'll find in Day Three's games. 15. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas14. Halo 313. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion12. Fight Night Round 311. Dead SpaceVery surprised that H3 is #14. Its the most successful game on the 360. No I realize that doesn't make it the best, but I definitely think it deserves a higher spot. *edit* I just read the comments from the authors and now I see why its #14. 3 out of 4 just didn't like the game, and basically all of their opinions are based on the campaign. Its obvious that these guys never get too saturated in a single game from reading their comments on any of the games. And it makes sense, as game reviewers and such they are required to play a lot of variety, which I think doesn't allow you to get a proper feel of a game. Thats why game reviews are almost meaningless...it takes months of playing to really figure out if a game is good or not and to develop how you feel about it.

I'm surprised FNR3 isn't top ten.

The mighty Halo 3 sitting at a mere #14?
I think that my faith in this list may have been shaken with that one..
At the same time, something tells me that they are going to stick with the ones that are appealing to the mass populous rather than trying to go outside the box.
I will be very sad, and probably kick a small animal if Gears and Gears 2 are both top 10.

I think in their description they said they are considering only one game from each franchise, that which they think is the best. So I bet they take gears 1...although to the more avid gears players out there, what would you pick to represent the franchise, gears 1 or 2?

I'm not an avid Gears player, but my choice is 1. Gears 1's campaign was just amazing, and I played it 5 times in a week. I've yet to finish Gears 2's campaign.
But I have to agree with Halo 3's rating. As much as I bash it, I know it is a good game. But to make it a top ten game? That would be a total shocker. And I'm also starting to be worried by no signs of Tales of Vesperia yet. It is widely regarded as a top 3 RPG for 360, and the best JRPG on the system. Many people are also saying it is better than Oblivion.

Yeah, the more I think about it #14 for Halo 3 is just ridiculous. Its got to be top 10, should be top 5, but I guess this is why its their list.

But this list is pretty good by what I've seen. I have very few complaints, besides the ranking of Forza, which I feel is a top 20 game, and FNR3 should be 10, not 12.

wow, now it's interesting. IMO oblivion deserved top 10 and halo 3 deserved top 5. halo 3's campaign wasn't any worse than the ones i've tried to play.. =/ how can a game that was the reason a veryy good amount of people got the 360 in the first place going to be sitting at 14? it's not like nobody plays it at the moment either. there's still a ton of coop campaign being played too. kind of ridiculous
as for the gears of war! if they're going heavily off of campaign, don't be surprised to see both games in the top 10. @ jeremy: gears of war 1 multiplayer > gears of war 2 multiplayer, by a large margin. gears of war 1 campaign < gears of war 2 campaign, by a decent margin. overall, gears of war 1 > gears of war 2, pretty easily. unless you're only interested in the campaign of course. but since multiplayer is always much more replayable(?), i'd say gears of war 1 was the better game.
wouldn't be too surprised to see a game like mass effect or bioshock or something get the 1.

#14? Fuck this list. All credibility is gone.

#14 is way too low for Halo. When the guy Sterling said, "Except that I lack the years of Halo-ing that have made the community so lethal, and I lack both time and patience..." I wanted to add in "and friends". That kinda pisses me off. It's hard to innovate in an FPS when they're 60% of the market. But, Bungie added things that made the game replay-able and easy to customize. You could also keep many memories with screens and clips. How does that not make it to top 5?
#13 is also way too low for Oblivion. I swear if they put Fallout 3 above that it's going to make me a little angry (and I know they will). I also swear that they are just a bunch of shooter jockeys.
I agree with Doug. All credibility is gone.
