Yes..you can actually set-up to boot more than just two operating systems. I remember watching Call for Help on G4 tv and Leo La Port talking about his home computer. He had a boot menu that allowed him to boot to Win 98, ME, 2000, XP, BEos, and Linux. I think he use a program called system commander but you can do it with the Linux boot manager (LILO or GRUB) as well. Here's a link for the system commander program: shop.avanquest.com/usa/prod.php?pid=683=edit= Here's a very good review, with screenshots, of Vista Beta 2 arstechnica.com/reviews/os/vistab2.ars/1

Nope..they all live in their own section of the hard drive. Each partition is like a separate hard drive. Depending on the file system formatting, certain versions of windows will not be able to recognize all the other partitions. Linux can because it's cool like that.

I'm sure it was heart...there are a few disavantages to Linux but really it's the better operating system of the all. The major downfalls are it's not really compatible with the more popular media formats, particularily windows media formats. It also has a very big learning curve and is more restrictive on the users rights. There aren't many games for it that are mainstream games. And lastly, a good note is there's not really any viruses for it which is a major plus. I'm sure defcon and rory could list more good things than bad. I just wanted to give a quick overview. Back to Vista....from the mixed reviews I've read I think it'll be a bit before I rush to upgrade to get it. =edit= Toms hardware group has done a 500 hour test of Windows Vista. Their article is 40 pages long. You can read it here.
