The first Halo Reach DLC will be available for download November 30th for 800 MS points. Entitled the Noble Map Pack, 3 new maps will be available: Anchor 9TempestBreakpointFollow this link to the complete article at Bungie.netWe all knew that there would be several DLC map packs, so here is the first. Doesn't come as much of a surprise that it has 2 big maps meant for BTB or Invasion. Its hard to tell if Anchor 9 will be good for 4v4 games. Bottom line is that they need more maps for all styles of game play, I just wish 2 out of 3 were for 4v4, rather than 2 out of 3 being for 8v8. Perhaps the next map pack with feature some competitive style maps. We shall see.

I'm honestly not happy. They picked my LEAST favorite part of campaign for Breakpoint. Tempest could be good. Anchor 9 looks like it will end up being the best.

We know that Bungie loves huge maps. Aesthetically they look nice, but I think there should be more of a priority on smaller maps since that is what most people play. All you need to do is look at the playlist populations...Team Slayer has always been the most popular by far, throughout Halo 2, 3, and now Reach.
So sure, I guess I would say I am disappointed as well, I wish the emphasis was on 4v4 sized maps. Ideally with competitive play in mind, but thats me.

They've only made one big map that I loved, and that was Avalanche. That map was great. By what I saw on Breakpoint, it's pretty much going to be the most power-weapon whoring map in gaming history, with people camping in 1 or 2 spots the entire game.

To be fair though, smaller, competitive maps are being made daily by the MLG community.

To be fair though, smaller, competitive maps are being made daily by the MLG community. Yes, and a bunch are really good, but it would be nice for some maps with different skins. And since these days I pretty much just play matchmaking, most those maps won't see the light of day until I play a few customs, which doesn't happen all that often.

Which means we need to get good old TDC customs back and running.
