It's confirmed! The next dashboard update on April 6th will allow up to 32GB of external storage via USB thumb drives. To get 32Gb you need two 16GB as 16GB is the max amount of storage per unit. There's a possibility of a USB hard drive working but you would still be limited to up to 16GB of space. Here's the article at tomshardware.com.
Additionally, it's been reported that the 120GB hard drive will be replaced with the 250GB hard drive. The 250 is supposed to take of the $129.99 price point. Here's that article.
