The DMR and the pistol appear to be the improvement over the BR we have been waiting for.

It could be. The DMR look like a good intermediate sniper. I'm hoping the pistol is like the Halo 1 pistol however I don't want to think about all the time I was owned with the pistol in halo 1.

apparently some of the weapons are going to be hitscan like in halo 2 again
no weapon in halo 3 was hitscan.
