I know that some of you play WOW, and I just wanted to report that Sam Raimi has been thinking about making WOW into a movie. However, it could be a long time away since there are plans of two more Spiderman movies. Here is the article

I think it'd be pretty cool. Unlike a lot of other games it has a story worthy of note.

Warcraft is really good stuff. So you'll not see just because it's competing with SRO and doing well?

I love Warcraft 3. I just think making a movie on WoW is completely idiotic.

Warcraft is really good stuff. So you'll not see just because it's competing with SRO and doing well? Uhh.. I like warcraft, played ever since I was little (1,2, and 3). The idea of a World of Warcraft movie of all things is a little ridiculous imo, but whatever brings in the cash I'm sure. Competing with SRO? God no. Not even close to the reason, if I cared about SRO's well being I wouldn't bot myself to the cap and basically ruin the experience for anyone actually playing next to my character.

Or not playing next to you, for that matter. Viva la Soft Mod.

It would have to depend. I probably will see it if it is ever made. It is not the fact that making a video game into movie seems a bit silly, but I am just curious on how it turns out. Same thing with superhero movies. I mean I did not read that many comic books but I did watch the cartoons. I watched the movies because I was curious on what the characters would look like in "real life" (and most super hero movies have come to quite remarkable).
Oh and Brandon, I heard about the DBZ movie a long time ago, but I was not sure if it would actually happen. I would see that too if it were ever made.

Just saw Max Payne, and it was a really cool movie for being based on a video game. WoW is Warcraft (hence the World of Warcraft), I don't see how it could be anything else. The world's the same and everything. I've played some of the Warcraft 3 campaign and it looks like your squad mostly revolves around a hero unit and basic squad of other units. So, WoW is just like the RTS, but instead the 'hero' unit is your character and your accompanying squad would be other players. They are the same world! (sorry Brandon and Tyler)
