Does the Red ring of death only occur on consoles that are first gen? I got mines in December (2007). Should i be worried about it?

Idk honestly. Mine was first gen when it got the Ring.
and so far *knocks on wood* I haven't gotten the Ring on this one.

Any console can get it. First gen are more likely, but any one can get it. Any part can fail, that's just how it works.
I have a feeling mine is close to another one. It's started to grind a couple of times and load times keep increasing, even after clearing caches. It'll be my 4th.

i got my xbox the night they came out and my still goin strong(knocks on wood)...guess i was lucky

I got mine the New Years that they came out, about what, 3 or 4 months after and it got pwned 3 times. They finally sent me a new console about a year or so ago, but it isn't running perfect anymore.
