They also announced a new, 60GB HDD.
Meaning, those of us who bought the 360 at the full price originally are being screwed again.
I can't install any games on my HDD. I have no room! Why? They gave me a ubersmall HDD!
Edit: Wait, I'm reading on the comments that there is an attachment where I can take a HD and attach it to the 360 through it. Anyone know anything about this? I'll order a cheap 100gig HD and attach it.

Yeah, quick everyone who bought the 360 within the first 2ish years go buy the new harddrive so we can get a decent amount of use out of this feature.
nahh. good idea though.
edits: maybe if that attachment is real^ it'd make me feel better about spending the money. then again, i'm guessing the attachment is made by microsoft anyways. vicious circle for the loss.

I've read that article before. That only allows you to add the hard drive to the xbox for playing media files or viewing pics. It doesn't add any additional storage capability to the xbox itself. You can use this adapter to transfer files between your pc and xbox to save space. I would recommend just getting the bigger hard drive and transfer everything over. Keep in mind that xbox games are on a standard dual-layer dvd so the most than can fit on any one disk if they use it all is 8.4GB. I don't think there are anygames out there that use the whole disk. =edit= check out the E3 videos posted here: www.xbox.com/en-US/community/events/e32008/default.htmthe games video has some gameplay from halo wars. It's short but neat.

I've got all of the E3 stuff taping.
And when I do invest in the larger HDD, I can just take the stuff off of my computer and put it back on, correct?

yes that should be the case but the device that allows you to transfer the stuff to your pc costs about 100 last time I saw one at gamestop.

an article at joystiq.com states that the new user experience willl be released on Nov 19th. Barring any issues I guess we'll see it then. =edit= Also, it's been reported that the new experience will require 128MB of storage space. If your hard drive is near full or youdon't have a hard drive then you may want to consider some clean-up or a purchase. Here's the info: XBOX experience requires 128MB of storage

I am looking forward to the party chat feature. I am so sick of dealing with a team of tweens that just learned to swear on COD4.

I'm ready to install games onto my HDD. Parents beware: I can now sneak on without you knowing by hearing the disk spinning.

keep in mind the disk still needs to be in the drive for you to play. The system still does a check to make sure you actually own a copy of the game.
