The junkies are having a 4v4 tourney. Here's the info from the site about registration and the rules:
Here's a great chance for you to get to know other members of your community and have some fun competition...
Halo3.junk.ws would like to invite its members to a 4v4 double elimination tournament to take place Saturday June 21st and Sunday the 22nd, 2008. This tournament is strictly for fun (unless some members feel generous and would like to donate services or items for prizes in which case PM me please). Even though this tournament is for fun, rules are to be strictly enforced to insure smooth running of tournament. More information follows:
Round times (Each round is best of 3 games):
*Any team more than 15 minutes late to starting time will be disqualified to insure flow of tournament.
Round 1: Saturday June 21st 5pm Pacific (this time is 8pm Eastern, please Google for your time zone if you are unsure)
Round 2 (Winners Bracket) / Round 1 (Losers Bracket): Saturday June 21st 6:15pm Pacific / 9:15pm Eastern
Round 3 (Winners Bracket) / Round 2 (Losers Bracket): Saturday June 21st 7:30pm Pacific / 10:30pm Eastern
Round 4 (Winners Bracket) / Round 3 (Losers Bracket): Sunday June 22nd 5pm Pacific / 8pm Eastern
Round 5 (Winners Bracket) / Round 4 (Losers Bracket): Sunday June 22nd 6:15pm Pacific / 9:15pm Eastern
Team Information:
Team rosters including exact gamertags which will be used to be submitted no later than Sunday June 15th at 6pm Pacific / 9pm Eastern OR up until 32 teams have entered via PM to xATHENAx. (Whichever occurs first)
ALL members of each team MUST be registered on halo3.junk.ws. It is a violation of the ToS to register gamertags other than your own so they must register themselves. This is a community event, not a who's the best team of 4 event so please adhere to this.
Each team is allowed ONE substitute. Exact gamertag of substitute must be provided at time of team registration. Teams may rotate through any of the 5 registered team members at any point between games during the tournament but MAY NOT substitute in the middle of an active tournament game.
Each team is to assign ONE team captain. This should be the one and only person registering their team and will be the one and only person to receive a friend request from the halo3 junk ws gamertag. By use of the friends of friends benefit on xbox live, the captains will be able to go through the halo3 junk ws gamertag to contact one another and join parties. The captain of each team is to send me notification of their team's win or loss each round. In the event that both teams state a win, the games will be reviewed and the team lying will be disqualified.
How to be Disqualified:
Any team that shows up with gamertags that have not been registered prior to the start of the tournament. Rosters will be posted no later than Tuesday June 17th. This insures that teams know what they are up against and helps ease the hassle of getting into parties of the opposing team hence why this is strictly enforced.
Numerous reports of a team trash talking, harassing or otherwise showing poor sportsmanship. This is for fun. Not just fun for your team but supposed to be fun for all involved. Any team that receives numerous reports of poor sportsmanship will be disqualified and cut out of the ladder.
Not being prepared for your match. Maximum waiting time is 15 minutes. If a team doesn't have 4 out of 5 of their rostered players online, they forfeit.
Lying about match outcome. Its not hard to check games and find out which team won the match. Don't lie about who won to try to get your team to advance.
Gametypes & Host Info:
Gametypes will be assigned for each round. There will be a mixture of slayer as well as objective games offered in this tournament. Roughly 2/3 of the gametypes will be BR/AR start but please note that NOT all games will have a BR start. Gametypes to be announced ASAP.
We all know a clean host makes things more enjoyable. It is suggested that you do a quick connection test prior to the start of the tournament games to make sure everyone in the party is OK with whoever pulls host. One to two minutes tops should provide enough of a test. Please note that the person who starts the party DOES NOT always pull host. Try different techniques which are up to members of the party to find a clearer connection.
Team Doesn't Show:
Don't be the team that ruins the tournament and doesn't show up despite registering and even having the option of a substitute player. Information on all teams which end up being no-shows will be provided upon completion of the tournament and the H3J community will have full range to make fun of you if they so desire. We will also try to refrain from allowing you to participate in future H3J events which may include prizes.
If you have a question simply post your question in this thread and an admin will edit in the answer to your post.
