Chief Wins TDC's Halo 3 PI Week
Hail to the Chief!
Our Halo 3 PI Week is now officially over and our winner is Chief. He put together a solid game of SWAT, not dying at all. In the end that is what set his PI apart...there were other great performances but going through a serious game with out dying is quite an accomplishment. Congratulations Tyler. He is our grand prize winner, meaning he will be getting all sorts of karma points and 1600 brand spanking new MS points (I will send you a PM about those Chief).
Final Results
Below you will find the final results from the week. We kept track of the top PI's in each ranked playlist as well as the top 3 overall for 4v4 ranked playlists. Karma points will be broken down as follows:
4v4 playlists: 1st = +5, 2nd = +3, 3rd = +1
Top PI in each playlist = +2
Overall (4v4 playlists only)
1st = Chief - 736.50 - Team SWAT on Blackout (Team SWAT)
2nd = Goddess - 635.00 - Team Slayer Stand Off (Team Slayer)
3rd = Calico - 507.50- Team SWAT on Blackout (Team SWAT)
Team SWAT
Chief - 736.50 - Team SWAT on Blackout (Team SWAT)
MLG
Chief - 361.50 - MLG Multi Flag Onslaught
Team Slayer
Goddess - 635.00 - Team Slayer Stand Off
Team Objective
Zangief - 313.00 - Multi Flag BRs Narrows
Big Team
Balla - 643.00 - 1 Bomb Valhalla
Lone Wolves
Goddess - 507.50 - Slayer BRs Snowbound
Team Doubles
Calico - 301.00 - Team BRs Snowbound
Looking Forward
Take this opportunity to share any opinions on the weeks activity or comment on the PI formula. Like I have said, I will taking the next few weeks to crank out a version 2 of the PI formula. This activity has been great as it has shown me what I need to fix. Basically as the formula is, it works well for computing multi game PI's, but needs serious work for single game PI's. Having 0, 1, or 2 deaths makes your PI skyrocket. If you went 9-0 you would have a PI way way higher than 30-5. But rest assured I will apply all my years of engineering experience and expertize to come up with a rock solid formula.
I also have plans for another PI week type activity. This will not be single game PI, but rather multi-game, thus requiring a consistent performance. More info on that in the coming weeks.
