So, do I have a story for some of you. Maybe it will be entertaining for you guys, but it surely was NOT for me.
Night starts, our team gets on for some practice. Currently we have 6 members, only 5 registered and eligible on GameBattles at the moment though. There was 4 of us in attendance for the practice.
Practice went well in my opinion, and believe me, we all need it as we're all trying to get back into the game. All but one started playing again less than a week ago. We had fun in practice.
One of our members then tells us he can get a friendly scrim for us so we can get into the GameBattles environment a little more. Clan matches = more lancer(assault rifle) less everything else.
The scrim starts off good. It was nice, competitive, and a lot of fun. We split the matches 1 to 1 on their host. I'm pretty sure they all were at the same house, so it was pretty difficult with 4 hosts going against us. Gears has a huge host advantage, not going to lie.
Then, it was our turn to host two games. We were going best of 5. Upon start of the game, with the first round not even finished, they start complaining about lag and talking all kinds of trash. It was only a scrim, and we had none of our 3 getting lag, and one of ours lived in the same city as them. So they got muted and everything carried on. We ended up winning the scrim 3 games to 1.
Feeling pretty good about how things went, I went and set us up a match for a 3v3 on GameBattles. First game was absolutely great. The people seemed a little new to the whole scene, but they were really nice. It was a dream game now that I think about it, I wish everything went that smooth. The bullshit I'm about to get into actually made me forget all about this match until just now. We won 3-0.
Feeling almost cocky now, we set up another game, happy with how the previous match had just went. This is where the horrendous story really starts.
Game gets started, our host first. All is good for the two matches on our host. Despite one connection error that lasted about 2 seconds at the start of one of the rounds, everything was fine. There was some fighting between their members though.
They went to host their two maps. We were up 2-0 at that point. One of our members could not connect to two of their hosts, and they claimed the other guy couldn't host because his connection was too bad. So, midway through the clan match, with our previous 3 members working great, we all of a sudden had to bring in a new, and no offense to him because he's cool and good in his own right, less experienced member when it comes to clan matches.
This match was hard fought, we switched off winning rounds. After about 4-6 rounds, their seemingly constant fighting back and forth heightened. By the time the 9th and final round was about to start, I'm pretty sure it's safe to say they hated each other.
Anyways, game was 4-4, and one member from each team died pretty quickly. It all ended up coming down to a 2v2 shotgun battle. Not going to lie, it was one of the most intense/exciting things i've ever experienced while playing XBL. We ended up winning it. Ahh we were happy. The two members on their team that were fighting the whole time ended it with them telling each other to fuck off, and the one member quit. Turns out actually that the guy who quit was a co-leader, and the guy he was always bickering back and forth with was the leader.
After that little incident we all say our good games, and leave. I'm sitting there constantly refreshing GameBattles so I can have the reassurance and relief of seeing a second win. During that time I was told to and did post for another match, we were on a roll?
Well, that never happened. The DOUCHEBAG tried to say he won. Even gave us a 1 star rating and said on his comment after falsely reporting he won: "wow u guys would dispute" and his clanmate saying: "lets see them than see u guys r bad"

This just pissed me off. I couldn't believe they would do/say such things after just getting beat 3 matches to 0. They even told us good game..
Well, as we were trying to get the ticket sent in about them falsely reporting the match, we had forgot all about the challenge we put up. It got accepted, and it was to take place in 5 minutes.
We had the member who take the pictures send an email to another one of our members, because he wasn't very computer savvy. Unfortunately this took a bit, and we needed to get 3 people in for our next match or we would have to forfeit. It was the most chaotic thing I've ever seen in my life.. fucking ridiculous.
We got 3 people in there, and again, had to bring in our backup because the one guy was trying to get the email sent so we could report the ticket later.
After being backstabbed by the team who we just had played earlier, we didn't really feel like playing anymore. But we had too. Throw in the fact the map generator picked 5 maps nobody every plays, and the uncertainty of what was going to happen with the previous match, AND not knowing if the guy was able to successfully email the pictures, and you had us basically begging for our first loss.
It was a horrible feeling during the first map. We pretty much just threw the map so we could take advantage of the 15 minutes we could have to go get the ticket sent with the proof in it.
After the ticket was sent, I still felt horrible. I've heard so many stories about corrupt referees and people getting screwed over by disputes regardless of the evidence they submit. Couldn't really concentrate on winning, I don't think any one of us could.
We got our 3 starters back, and were able to pull out a win in the second map. They took the third, and we took the fourth. Leading it to a tiebreaker on their host. THE TIEBREAKER ALONE LASTED 40 MINUTES. We ended up, as I pretty much expected since the match got accepted, with our first loss.
I honestly think we could have beat them if we had remembered to take the match down, and did it at some other point in time. I'm amazed we were able to even make a competitive game out of it.
I don't really know the point in posting this, I guess it gives someone really bored something to read, maybe. I want to just slam on the keyboard, but meh.
I hope neither of the TDC factions in COD4 and Halo 3 have to deal with douchebags who try to pull some shit out of their ass when they get it handed to them on a stick.
Just a reminder, this is the reason you take pictures and/or video. I've heard a lot of assholes will try to pull this. Luckily we got pictures for proof.
Nonetheless, let it be known if we don't get our win counted after the ref looks at the dispute, I will NEVER go near gamebattles again.
Cookie to you if you read it all. Yeah yeah I know, China wants their wallback. Whatever. Even if nobody cares to read it, I almost feel a little bit better for writing it all out.
