So the long and the short of last nights CoD4 Scrimmage is that we lost 4-1. That being said I think we all had a great time. The games were very intense and I think all in all we did well for our first time out in a clan v. clan. The playlist is as follows:
Sabotage on Vacant Domination on Countdown Team Deathmatch on Wetwork Team Deathmatch on Countdown Hardcore Team Deathmatch on Backlot
Now for the results:
First off on sabotage...
For those of you who aren't familiar Sabotage is the CoD4 version of neutral bomb from Halo 3. We started out strong, picking up the bomb from the get go. Most of the round was spent in a push off between O7AH and TDC. We would push the bomb to their goal and have it ran back to ours. In the end they finally made the plant and managed to hold just long enough to get the win.
Domination on Countdown:
Let me say that this one had us all sweating! Domination resembles the game of territories on Halo 3 with the exception of all the capture points start out as neutral. Countdown was a great arena for this gametype as it offers a lot of places to hide and capture point B is situated directly in the center of the map. During the match this was the point that was most fought over. It changed hands at least a half dozen times! Even though O7AH took the W I was proud of our teamwork and persistence.
Team deathmatch on wetwork:
O7AH took an early lead in this one. Moving up the ship using boxes and snipers to cover their advance. What they didn't know was that we had sat up a great kill zone with 2-3 covering each side, a couple of guys in the middle of the boat and Dr McTom placed far back in the wheelhouse as a counter sniper. For a while the action was a 1:1 death stalemate. Our big break came with an airstrike that led to a helicopter coming in. In the end this was a hard fought victory!
Hardcore deathmatch on backlot and Team Deathmatch on Countdown:
Both of these matches were incredible! I have to hand it to O7AH they mobilize fast! For the hardcore map we tried to secure a point on the map and set up a kill zone which seemed to work for a while. Unfortunately we wound up falling a little short here. Same thing for CountDown Redux! This match quickly desolved into chaos! I think my favorite quote came from DrMcTom after about the third time he had shot a sniper off of the missle truck he was using as a perch "Is he up there again? Hold on I got him" The delivery put me in the mind of somebody trying to get a cat out of a tree!
Finally we had an unofficial just for fun bonus match of domination on a map titled shipment.
This is perhaps the tiniest map on the game consisting of a small storage lot with a few conex trailers stacked around. The three flags are placed on the diagonal corners with a central flag tying it all together. This map is usually for 3-4 people but we pushed it up to 8 per team! I would call the match controlled chaos but there was really no control about it! It's a shame we didn't pick this map for the scrimage because we did a great job winning by a decent spread!
Thanks to O7AH for the great games!

Oh yeah! This was all part of our grand tactic! This is what I like to call the lulling phase ;D After the other night they are lulled into a false sense of security...next we strike!!! Or maybe lull them some more, lol!

I definitely want a rematch.
Was a very very well fought match from both sides.
The helicopter on their side during the Sabotage game, combined with our base being outside meant tons of kills for them, and we couldn't do anything because the Heli would own us.
Wetwork was fun. <33333 that map. Close game, I cried. Never ever seen so many grenades thrown, ever until we played CountDown Domination. omfg.
I want a rematch sometime.

Very nice writeup, MK79. Our write up is done if you all want to take a look. I front paged it at www.o7ah.net/It definitly would cool to get another rematch going. This was way more competitive and fun than matchmaking, I thought. Plus, you actually get to play with good people.

I think Cozmo and Ratty have it right. I've enjoyed this clan match more than I've ever enjoyed matchmaking because everyone had a good attitude and that added to the fun factor. It was a blast playing you guys at O7AH, and I hope to meet you guys again on LIVE....maybe next time in my warthog
