Played a few games this morning and had a blast. Obviously the game play comes as no surprise, unless you are unfamiliar with MLG (I hope you aren't ). I have played plenty of MLG, but never Onslaught for whatever reason. I just played it and its a rad map. Symmetrical, balanced, lots of cover, the emphasis is definitely on team play rather than just 1v1 overpowering. The MLG playlist was an excellent move by bungie. However, going in by yourself will leave you will two rather large annoyances: donkeys on your team and donkeys on your team. The first kind of donkey is the MLG noob. In each game I heard one of the following: "I hate that there is no radar, I can't kill nobody with no radar" "Why would they put rockets in MLG? Thats lame." "Dude, you can't return the flag? That is so gay!" "Where is the equipment? This is so noobish without equipment." Donkey number two is the MLG snob or just the typical asshole you play with. He will bitch at you if accidently throw a nade at him or if you go negative (luckily I did neither of those this morning). This donkey takes Halo way too seriously and needs to pull the dick out of his ass. So if your team mates don't call out spots, deal with it. If you wanted your team mates to communicate, don't go in by yourself. And especially don't bitch when yo only do third best on your team.

i want to try this. i also need to remember to turn vibration off in h3 if it's possible.. realized after playing h2 that is some of the reason it felt different.

how does it help u...do u think it effects your aim or something? i like it because u can get in a rythm of firing you gun and now have to worry about the visual cue, u can just feel it...and sometimes when ur getting damage it doesn't show on the screen very clearly, but you feel it

Deal with it Rory, its all personal preference. Tyler is used to vibration off, so playing with something you are not used to throws you off a bit.

Yeah, back in Halo 2 someone told me a lot of the pro's play with it off so i was all: and did it myself. Got used to it, and I like it a lot better. Everything feels smooth, and I can give full attention to the screen/hud without any kind of distraction. -- from what I could see there isn't a way to turn vibration off.. gross. especially when there's that useless option of auto look centering. and, played about 3 games, they weren't too bad. onslaught is fun. edit 1: nevermind, i pulled a ninja and turned off controller vibration for everything, just have to see if it works. edit 2: it works
