I played on the new maps for about an hour yesterday. I had fun, and thats all you can ask for. Soccer on an empty foundry is great, and I really liked flag on standoff. Chief is a beast with the laser, although all he did was camp it, but still it was fun.

I might get them. I'm debating it in my head. 800 points is quite a bit on XBL and I COULD get a sweet arcade game instead. Isn't Samurai Showdown out on arcade? Also, Street FIghter 2 HF is out. Better yet, I could just save some points and $$$... I want Foundry though.

Brandon some word of advice from cool guy to cool guy. Foundry is nowhere near what's it's cracked up to be. You can't even come close to remaking maps, or even making maps. The place is shaped like a "U" so you have to block of a third of the map to get a square, although it still is pretty decently sized after the blockage. But since but since Bungie takes too much pride into their work and adds too much f*cking detail to the walls you can't really stack boxes perfectly against the wall. Of course that is something that you can live with right, i mean all you have to do is make wall units along the "bad" walls. Too bad that has too much detail also so throwing a grenade off those leads to random bounces and not going where you want it to be. Oh and trying to make a map is REDICULASLY (sp?) tedious. The games engine is far too advanced to try to align two boxes perfectly on top one another. Trying to make a two base based map comes with great difficulty, once you finish the first base you come to a joyous feeling , an emotion of great achievement overwhelms you, until you turn around to realize that you have to make the same exact thing for the next two hours on the other side of the map. I haven't played the maps yet so no comment on that. But i only bought the maps for Foundry which was a mistake as to you are forced to pay $13 dollars for them.
P.S. That is the end of my wall of text rant even though i have so much to say.
P.S.S. I suck at forge so things can actually get accomplished if you are good at it, which i am not.

Foundry = fun soccer map.
Rat's Nest = awesome race map and good map.
Standoff = great map. No midship, but great nonetheless.
