I actually have a general XBL question and I didn't know where to put it. How do I change my Gamertag?

Hit the guide, click on yourself, go to edit gamer profile, and gamertag.

NAT settings... What are the pros and cons of changing them for Halo 3, and what kind of actions should I take to prevent security risks?

I would imagine that a strict NAT will have the same effect on Halo 3 as it did on Halo 2.
To prevent security problems...run a good anti virus and anti spyware program. Stop surfing for porn as that'll just bog you down with a bunch of crap in the background. Do not download anything from illegal sites as they could contain a virus. Be wary of e-mail attachments even from people you know due to the fact that a virus could be active int eh background and you wouldn't know it. Also, be careful of macro's in the popular office program as they can also be malicious. Virus scan any removable media given to you by a friend BEFORE opening anything on the media (ie flash drives, portable hard drives).
You could also run a personal firewall program on your computers. THe one included in Windows is ok but aftermarket ones are better.
If all else fails, switch toLinux or a MAC.

Why didn't you use the router config info I posted in the help forum? There's a site called portfowarding.com that I posted that would have done it all in one try.

I didn't remember it was there. It was a Halo 3 how to... so I asked How to in reference to Halo 3.
