Well I wanted to have a free and open discussion regarding politics but it kind of got out of control. I am not usually one to argue like that but I couldn't resist. Regardless of how you came down on the Bush v. Kerry issue, I was hoping we could have all acted intellilgently. Obviously Xe-Bec was not mature enought to do that. He has made my job easy by quitting and I think it is for the best. He doesn't understand that people can disagree about something llike that and still act civilized and get along. The only reason he quit is because a couple of us like Kerry, and that is just stupid.
The main point of this clan is to play Halo. If another topic like this comes up again lets keep get rid of the name calling and graphic pictures. That way we wont end up hating each other and will still play Halo.

do u mean xebec quit the clan? if so, man he sure got mad, i thought we were just talking. sure it got heated, but so does a lot of stuff.

I guess you can call this bad, but I might consider it a good thing. You all probably know that xebec thought it was in his place to buy domain name and put the web page up there without my permission. I got really pissed off because basically what he did was steal my webpage and post it as his own. I say steel because he took it without my permission. I told him that was it, he was done. He begged me to come back, I got about 10 emails from him saying he promissed to be cool. I felt bad for the 15 year old kid, it obviosly meant something to him that he was in a clan. Boy was I wrong.
Getting rid of this kid was good because having someone like that representing you clan reflects horribly on the rest of us. He posted stupid pictures of John Kerry being shot in the head and smoking pot, something none of us did for Bush. Xebec's behavior was getting worse and worse, who knows what he would have done next. We are all better off not associating ourselves with him. Having said that I think it would be good for everyone not to play with him. I can't control who you want to be friends with but just look at what this guy has done. He doesn't listen when he should. He thinks he is a hacker when he doesn't have the slightest clue of what that means. Frankly, I feel sorry for the guy. He is home schooled so the lack of social interaction with kids his age has left him as a messed up individual. He is spoiled by his parents (he told me they give him $500 a week). That is just not right for a kid 15 years old. He acted like he could just do whatever he wanted, a fact which he found out to be entirely untrue.
I am not saying this because I like Kerry and he likes Bush. It is just a reiteration of the facts. That kid doesn't know the boundries of what is acceptable and I am sure it is going to bite him in the ass big time some day.

you do make a good point. the whole kerry vs. bush thing and the kerry bein shot/pot head thing was really out of line. i hope he can find some other clan to be in. tha whole home schooled and no social interaction is kind of messed up. maybe if he joins another clan, we can battle him. who knows. anyway, i bet you'll probably get 10 more emails from him saying exactly the same thing, that he'll be cool and not go ballistic like he did last time.

If I run across him online I am not going to be an asshole. There is no need for me to be because our relationship should have existed only in the world of playing Halo. We divulged from that and he went a bit crazy. I ain't worried anyway, I will beat that kid anyday of the week at a game of Halo  |

Zangief my suggestion to this kind of problem is not to have discussion about topics which are greatly debated. If we can keep it simple and Halo related would be cool.

Well good thing about it is thats its pretty much over, and the remaining politics debate is between personal friends (big spene, mershmellow, twinkie, jr, ruskie, and I all know each other personally) so that is no problem.

i enjoy talking about all topics, hence the general section.
thought provoking discussions are important. besides i get tired of talking about my #1 ranking. j/k lol

I agree with spene, I am not going to back down from controversy. The main reason that it got out of hand was all the lame pics that was xebec was posting. I have deleted them all now though.
