I am renting this before buying. First one, I bought and traded it to a friend after a week. But, it looks kickass.

excellent! I really liked Gears. Hopefully they'll makes gear 2 better than the first agreed, even though the first lasted me through the summer and then a few months after. Roggie, they did a lot of updates after the first week. next time i suggest waiting a bit.. |

My roommate bought the first one. We had so many problems with the game. I got discouraged and stopped playing. I didn't make it long enough for the patches that actually fixed things. The campaign was fun and the game looked beautiful compared to everything else at the time.
I see myself renting this and getting tired of the clunky controls.

It's just not that type of game, I'd be surprised to see anything like that in number 2. |

I never played counterstrike, so I don't know.
I just get bored of it very quickly without it. I mean, I love elimination, but it gets old fast.

CounterStrike does not have respawns AFAIK.
Whenever I played, it was once you died, you were out for the round.

Thought so, that's just the type of game gears of war is I think, maybe they'll change it, but I hope not.

I was thinking it would go like:
Have a few random button combinations, whoever was to hit their button combo without messing up first wins
Or, just whoever could tap a the fastest or something.
They'll probably be able to come up with something better though, <3 epic.

A little off topic, but would gears of war 1 be a good buy right now. I mean I have not really finished H3 (On legendary that is) and I dont really like forza (its kinda boring). I dunno I would like to buy a couple games and try them out somtime.

I dunno I would like to buy a couple games and try them out somtime. Depends on the price. If its above 40-45 dollars, I wouldn't buy it. The only people left online are the hardcore fans, and I guess the occasional casual player but the ratio is probably around 10:1. The campaign is really fun in my opinion, but that's not enough reason to buy a game. I'd buy CoD4 if I was you, has the most online player base right now, and the single player is great too. Can't go wrong with it. |
