Im not going to lie to you...i bought this game for the achievements. I thought this game was going to be some lame ass movie ported to a game with lame puzzles and gameplay...oh my god was i ever surprised
the first thing u should know about this game is, i wouldn't classify it as a first person shooter. i would classify it as an interactive movie. I dont think this game was intended to play like other games, where u use your mad skillz to aim at the enemy, shoot him 1000 times and he dies. this is going to sound bad but, this game has no recticle unless you turn it on because i think the focus is supposed to be on the story.
another think that seperates this game from others is the fact that u dont have a hud, if you want to know what yourhelath is, well lets just say that if something bites you, you will know (its cool lol)....this system works amazingly well
with a huge amount of games these days, and especially in games based off of movies, there are alot of hard puzzles (espcially in harry potter...good lord those games are gay but they keep making them lol) other games have puzzles like, uhh idunno "if you hear hoove setps think zebra not horse" or something....
in king kong the puzzles are simple and u do alot of it while being chased by a dinosaur or something so it keeps your heart pumping
this is one of the few games where my heart was racing and i really felt liek there was a need to do the objective i was wanting to do. and i think alot of that comes from the musical choice. the music helps a whole lot in this game, and its cool also. when the natives to the island are attacking u, u get this really cool african drum soudnign song ..that one is my favorite
there are alot of cool things in this game, one of my favorite things to do is run away from stuff...there are a few times when u have to run away from somjething. and the developers made these levels to have the creture 1 or 2 steps behind you, this is really hard to explain but, in surround sound u can hear it breating right behind your and if u look behind it will be RIGHT THERE OMG AHHHHH
the little things make this game even better, they used the same actors in the movie to do the game. and there are other things like, in order to make u feel more like u are the character, if your running away from something or if your alone, u will hear your breathing get heavier and u will sound scared
im not saying this game was perfect, but i bought this game with very low expectations, and it turned out to be one of the funnest 360 games i own,
but if u are goign to buy this game, remember it doesn't play like any game i have played before, its more like an interactive movie
