Half Life 2: Episode 1

For those of you savvy in the Half Life universe, the next installment of the series; Half Life 2: Episode 1 has been released.

I got back from class this morning and sad down and starred at my clock to get to 10 so the game would unlock and I could have my moment with the game.

One word: WOW.

First a few points, then some screens.

• The entire game is mapped in HDR, so really nice looking.
  
• The Source Engine has been improved since HL2 was released allowing far better graphics.
  
• Lots of playing time with Alyx. ;D
  
• In spite of it's $20 cost, it's well worth it for this episodic release.
  
• Took me about 4 hours to play through it.
  
• The ending is fantastic.
  
• Make sure you wait till the end of the credits for the preview for HL2: Episode 2!
  
• New zombies
  
• Continues the story very well and of course, a cliff hanging ending.
  
• In my opinion, far better than HL2 itself!

Know, it's a PC game...

They are however working on HL2 for the 360, so it will be substantually better than on the old xbox.
