Yes, the PC does cost more to make good, but once you get it good, it is much better than a system. The only drawback with a PC is the no easy online gaming chat, but typing does get around that, although talking is better. But, there is a problem with the Xbox now, with the Thompson (sp?) drive, screwing up on my Nascar 06...

People, there are so many ways to use voice communication while playing, teamspeak, xfire are two examples. Most games have it built in. All you need is a mic.

Wow Jon, you are the first person who I have ever heard say that the PC version of Halo is better than the xbox version. To me there is no comparison, especially since there are so many better FPS to play on PC than Halo.
One of the whole draws to halo is that it was the first (at least in my mind) console game that really utilized team multiplayer environment. That is one of the reason it has surpassed all other console shooters. People can be competitive in halo, leading to gaming leagues such as MLG. Besides fighting games, halo is the only console game that has become successful like that. And this is a relatively new thing for consoles (last 4 or 5 years) where as it has been around for along time for PC's.
So like Halo PC if you want, but I think using a keyboard and mouse for it takes you away from what set Halo apart from any other game.

did you know that the original 007 for n64 is beating halo for best fps. it said that in the xbox magazine ;D

In gamespy's tournament to see what the best game of all time Halo easily defeated 007 in the voting. In fact, Halo made it to the elite eight, losing to Half life. Halo would have gone further if it had not been matched up against Half life. In my mind, the results of that could not have been any better. It had Super Mario 3 vs. Half Life in the final match with half life winning. I can't come up with two better games, and no matter how hard you try you will never convince me that any video games were ever better than those two, including Halo. Some power houses got knocked out early, as is the nature of the tournament. Street Fighter II went up early against Super Mario 3, and the better game won. For console FPS enthusiasts, the biggest match of the tournament was in round one where Halo defeated 007 for N64. |

my brother in law has battlefield 2 and he uses a headset to talk to his friends from work on there and shit....i hate gamespy...i remember playing klingon academy on mplayer...somuch fun...so little lag...then mplayer got bought by gamespy and it got all laggy and it took forever to connect and crap.....
