Great game in my opinion. All the glitches on Live from the release have been fixed in an update, but, it is just very annoying when you are on a 47 kill spree and the server is shut down MID GAME AND YOU GET NONE OF YOUR MEDALS. It is a great game, but, it does give me some anger issues.

The PC version of the game is incredible. If the Xbox version is half as good as the PC...I will still be a very happy guy

Yet another example of why PC games are for PC and console games for console...

I only bought it for Xbox for the chat ability of it, and, yes, it is a little better on PC, but, the chat makes them basically even. but, in its time, 1942 was just a blowout game, that was amazing. I still play that on PC.

sup guys. i know a few TR peeps have it or tried it (for XBOX). dub pointed out how annoying the 15 Second Respawn is. it's pretty standard though with the way the game's engine works (respawning as many team mates together at one time). i haven't tried it yet, and i don't rent games either, so i'm still uncertain.
in regards to PC games not being good cross overs... look at Counterstrike. i think that translated fairly well.

Well I respect your opinion, but I have played both and counterstrike is a horrible example, in my opinion. In fact, every FPS that was made for PC then a console version was made is 100% better on PC (that I have played). Halo was made for xbox, and is much superior on xbox.
In general, FPS are more suited for mouse in keyboard, IMO.

I don't mean to shut down anyone's opinion. I mean alot of FPS converts to console are fun, just can't compare to the originals.

yeah i actually have alot of gripes about BF2 on xbox. but if enough people play, i will keep playing it. maybe ill even learn how to open my parachute instead of falling to my death. ha.
but not trying to change the course of this thread, my position on pc vs console gaming has always been that pc = work and console = play. in addition, from the time i bought the pc that i still work on today, ive gone through 1 ps1's, 2 gamecubes, 1 ps2, and about 5 xboxes. my pc cant handle ANY of the newest PC games, but my work is at an all time high and keeps getting higher. my gaming is also at an all time high and i didnt have to take out a small loan to buy a new pc to handle the games i play (existence of the 360 not factored). given that the value of trade-ins/cash-money is not greater than or equal to the price of a new pc.
i do agree that all pc->console conversions are inferior, but so are the systems that they are converted for. gaming is progressing to a nice fusion of the two mediums though.
back to BF2 though, i think im going to start a poll to get some feedback from TDC about next-gen fps games.

hmmm, let me think... i got my 1st one new/1st gen. then that one started to die from playing movies on it so i traded it in for credit and bought a new one again.
the halo edition came out and vega needed his own xbox so i sold him my new one as used and bought the halo edition.
then i moved to atlanta from minneapolis and domokun needed an xbox so i traded in my gamecube to get him his own.
then i moved in with grid and he needed a xbox plus my ps2 was about to die, so i traded it in to get grid an xbox.
THEN domokun traded his DS for the xbox i got for him so he could keep it. i traded the DS in for some games and i got a platinum gamecube from my parents for christmas.

wow, My xbox and all of my games have never had any problems.
I would agree that consoles are alot easier to have fun on, which is why so many people have them. Your run of the mill kid does not have the juice on their PC to run games like they are meant to be. Plus you have to keep you PC updatd with new hardware.

PC games are far superior if you ask me...i play haloPC all the time and it is funner than Halo xbox just because I know how to aim, and my connection is good...anyways BF2 i have not played but the original I have and if the second one is anything like the first then it will be good.
