Does anybody own this game or have played it? I thought it looked really cool and wanted some other opinions on the game. If its good maybe ill ask for the game for my birthday coming up in a few days.

Nay, but a firend of mine does, sounds pretty fun.
If you're looking for some cool games, get Half Life, Half Life 2, Call of Duty, or KOTOR.

Far Cry is sweet. Same basic gameplay as halo controlwise, with a few things added, but a great overall game and a good game to chill at after playing a modder.

its an alright game
I personally enjoy the story mode rather than the multiplayer
but i really thought the map editor was pretty cool

I have it and the story is good same story as doom. the multiplayer has a really good idea. over xbox live player can mack a map in any way they like and can play them with other people over xbox live. the only problem is that it takes for ever for the game to download the maps. it also takes for ever to wait for the game to load the next level in story mode

No, it doesn't take that long, at least on my Xbox. It usually goes through a little under 2 entire info screen timelengths, but my friend's Xbox has to take about 15-20.
