Here's the information that Hellion wrote up in the scrimmage thread. We still need someone who played in the first game to give a short write up. Send it to me or hellion in a pm. Thanks!
Here the info:
Game 1: 1 Flag CTF on Lockout - TDC's Choice
Game Tied at 4 scores a piece.
Note: I did not play in this game, so if someone who did can send me a write up of it via PM, that would be appreciated, and I will put it here.
Game 2: Team Slayer on Sanctuary - Junkie's Choice
From the very start of the game, the teams never got more than 3-5 points ahead of each other. This was definitely the toughest game I've played in a while. Me being rusty from hardly playing anymore is shown by my stats. That aside, the Junkies gained early control of Red Base. This was not for long, however. We stormed then with Plasma Pistol / BR combos and the sword. After multiple deaths, we finally succeeded, only to find that they had somewhat of a hold on Blue Base. The game went back and forth like this, with the Junkies finding and holding strategic spots on the map, and us breaking their setup. It all came to the end when we got a hold of our sniper and Mario tore it up.
Final Score: 100- 87, TDC wins
Game 3: Team Ball on Midship - TDC's Choice
Junkies got to the ball first, and managed to get :05 seconds on us. After some slaying, we finally got control, and managed to get roughly a minute on them. This tiny victory was not to be celebrated for long though. The Junkies broke through our setup, and even managed to get ahead of us in ball time. Needless to say, we weren't happy. Mario proved to be a great asset to us with his 43 kills and +19 K/D spread. DoubleCross2 from the Junkies, however, was answering Mario's kills with some of his own, and whipped out a nice 34 kills and +11 K/D spread against us. In the end, we got control of the ball, and had a great set up, and that's pretty much what did it for us.
Final Score: 5:00 - 3:06, TDC wins
Game 4: Team Snipers of Burial Mounds - Junkie's Choice
Coming into this game, we knew we had to step it up a notch since snipers proved to be the Junkie's strong point. They met our expectations, and then some. The whole game was back and forth for the lead. I thought that the Sanctuary game was tough, until we got into this one. I personally could not seem to get away from xX Your Hero Xx's sniper bullets, and now that I've seen the stats, apparently no one else could either. The Junkie's first spawn was at the Beam Rifle side, and about :05 seconds in, shots were already fired, and they had a 4 point lead on us. We got ourselves together, and managed to get them out of that spawn. The game was a stalemate the whole time, with each team matching the other kill for kill. I think what really helped us, was the fact that we had the Junkies spawn trapped for a good 10-15 kills, which allowed us to catch up and even pass them. The last 10 kills saw us with a 6 point lead, which the Junkies closed to 2, and then we finally sealed the deal, winning the series for us.
Final Score: 100-98, TDC wins
Note: Since we won 3 games, we won the best of 5 series. However, for fun we decided to play the 5th game.[/i]
Game 5: Team Slayer Unlimited Kills on Midship
Spartan was the one who gave us the idea for this game after playing in another tournament. We decided to add it to our playlist, thinking it would be a fun game. It was. It was pretty much pure mayhem with 12 people running around a small map like Midship. BR's were going everywhere, and Luigi was calling the Junkies out like there was no tomorrow. It was pretty funny to hear. The game was pretty close, but I think we had a lead throughout the whole game. Even though the game didn't really count towards the series, we still played tough, as did the Junkies it seemed.
Final Score: 204 - 180, TDC wins
All in all, the games were fun, and it was another well fought scrimmage against the Junkies. They are all really great guys, who just like to play the game. They are the toughest team, personally, so far that I have played, and I'm sure that the others agree. They are very professional in the way they handle things, and tonight was no different. No trash talk from either side meant good relations can be kept, and I hope that we can do this again sometime.
Good games guys!
