Games started at roughly 8:45PM Pacific Time. I met with Timma about 30 minutes before that to discuss some details regarding host. We agreed that since he has a good connection, that he would get host all of the games, only to find out that I cannot connect to his host.
That being said, here are the games...
Game 1 - MLG TS Lockout
I didn't play, so I will get someone else to write this one.
Game 2 - CTF Classic Midship
The game started and both teams rushed for BRs fast. After our team realized that it was SMG starts, things got going.
Pink 2 was constantly changing ownership between the two teams as TR would grenade from top mid to take control and we would respond with a rush to take it back.
We ended up scoring once, but one of the players on TR's side lagged out, so we ended the game. This was agreed upon by both teams.
After their member rejoined, TR agreed to resume the game from where it was, and allowed us to get back our 1 flag capture.
TR responded with a capture of their own, but we ended it with two more successive captures.
TDC Wins 3-1
Game 3 - MLG Ball Midship
After having to end the last game due to host issues, we changed the host and proceeded.
We got an early lead, and kept it for most of the game. The ball was mainly held in Pink 2 for most of our time.
Towards the end, TR had killed all 4 of our guys, and I think that was what did us in. One final rush from us succeeded in haltering them from getting time, but was not enough.
TR Wins 5:00 - 4:21
Game 4*
We started Game 4, and ended it soon thereafter due to one of their members not being there. We then waited in pre-game lobby for about 20 minutes waiting for him to return. After he came back, we started the game for the second time, only to end it once more due to him not being there. Finally...after we were sure he was back, we started it for the third time. We played for a while, with us getting a considerable lead over TR, when their member once again lagged out. Frustrated, we both agreed that we would get the win.
Game 5 - MLG TS Midship
Last game of the series, with both teams tied 2-2(see explanation under Game 4).
The game remained relatively close, with both of us switching the lead multiple times in game.
It was hard fought all the way through. The sword, surprisingly, did not come into play very much this game. Although, I don't feel it would have made much of a significant difference.
In the last few minutes of game time, we pulled it together and went on a run to get a 12 point lead, and to secure the win.
TDC Wins 50-32
All in all, it was an awesome set of games against an equally awesome team.
The games were tough, the competition fierce, and despite some long pre-game waiting, I'm sure everyone had fun.
We will definitely have to do something like this again, and actually have some people show up this time. That way, we'll redeem ourselves and win one.
Note: After all the games were done, I talked to Rick, and informed him of what happened regarding Game 4.
He and I, as well as Timma, agreed that the fair thing to do would be to drop Game 4 all together. That put us at 2-2...a tie.
We then decided that in order to determine a winner, we would add up the total kills from the 4 other games.
After all was said and done, and the kills were added up, we came to this...
TR Wins with 222 Total Kills - 214 Total Kills.
Good Games guys!
