If you read the article it states if your emblem is chosen it'll become part of Halo 3. You "win" the chance to have a design incorporated into the most anticipated game of the century!

Probably not, but if Bungie is remaking such things as Zanzibar, people will get bored with H3 fast and move to the GoW series, which still has 2 games coming, as well as a movie.
