Since none of us really run this art section i think we should make some rules of our own for this, we can list rules we would like to see and our fellow designers will decide if it's a good one or not.
Rules i would like to see are:
A Deadline (obviously)
Once you turn in a piece you cannot edit a post or you will be DQ'd
Must be sig sized

everyone has kinda a different idea of "sig size" like in the tr forums people use fucking banners...
anyways.. 350x120 is what I usually use.
and as I mentioned before, winner of this round picks the next render and doesn't compete.
the way we should set this up is make a first topic called :
"SOTW #1 Entries"
we all place our entries there. no comments and anything that contains more then then the entry will be DQ'ed. and a url most be posted below the sig for easy access
then a secon topic will be made
"SOTW #1 Vote"
a poll section with each of the contestants names and their sigs in the same post. voting will end by a certain timeline.
and then a final topic
"SOTW #1 Winner"
First topic holds the winning sig and contestants name, and then we can all discuss the winner and what not.
im thinking the timelines should be something like saturday the render is posted, wensday at 12:00am est is the submit deadline and w/e the render host has the next chance he setsup the vote, and then friday at midnight est (or early sat morning) the vote is done and the winner is announced and the cycle starts all over again.
for this week we'll decide on the deadline once this is all settled.
and we should think of an incentive... like a userbar or something...

This is from the forum rules: Signatures graphics will be no larger than 500 x 120 pixels and can contain two other lines of content. A user bar with maximum height of 25 pixels counts of one line. Forum rules threadI would use the forums rules for your sig size. |
