You all know how I'm anti-MLG, but I'm split on this one. If it's only for one person, then I say TDC should go for all MLG gametypes. If 2 or 3 say SMG, then put one in. But, I also agree with Rick and Xcel.

Those were the days. BR had a 6 shot, grenades were crap (Heh, I hated it), beat downs sucked, no glitches. People played for fun, not to completely destroy everyone and make fun of them in the process. Zombies, anyone?

First off, I'd like to thank dana for proving who the more mature one here is, seeing as how she had to resort to childish insults. Fortunately, I kept mine to myself.

I never said anything to be mean, as you implied. I merely stated that if there are..what...14 people who are active in TDC, and only one of them wants SMG starts, we shouldn't cater to just their wishes.

Dana, I hate to say it, but Brandon's right. You won't allow the whole clan besides yourself do what they want just to have more fun yourself. Sacrificing the fun of 13 people for 1 is extremely dumb. I sacrificed my fun during the time I was in the Halo faction. It was worth it.

I understand that majority rules is how this society works and their is no other reasonable way around it. However, we here at TDC are a community; meaning we look out for each other and care for others needs. If we start to not include everyone in the community then conflicts occur and people leave. I also understand that this is how everything works. Not everyone will get what they want, but in this case would a little SMG TS on lockout hurt? I dont think it will. Many of us are very high levels in Matchmaking TS, and i know you didnt play all BR starts in it. So why not just let "Majority Rules" slide here. Lets just pick a game where their are SMG starts. Besides, we (TDC) pwn with any weapon. What do ya say?

With smg starts it makes the game more based on who gets the best spawn, and if that team is decent, then there is little chance for the bad spawned team to retaliate.

Ex. -lockout slayer- blue team usually spawns bottom blue and red should spawn at br tower. So br tower has access to sword, snipe (via br or grenade) and after that the blue team should be locked down to either blue or snipe without a br to retaliate. They will continiously get sniped without the ability to unzoom the sniper, if they rush, they meet sword and most likely a combo guy in window, after a couple of failed rushes the red (br team) will most likely have two or three of its members with br's making the game further frustrating for the blue team (bad spawn)

people will argue that each team starts with smg's and each has access to 1 br, which is true, but I think the reason blue spawn is so crippled is becuase top blue peeps rush for control of br, but their attack is confined to one area.
The entire red team can focus their attach on that one area, and usually they are hitting from different angles (lib door, br 3, br2, open ramp) So it makes it impossible for four guys top blue to focus on all of those points, instead their attack is scattered and the red teams is focused. This makes the red team victorious and gives them initial control and time to lockdown the map by getting powerweapons.

And so basically the game is decided by spawns and unless your playing a team full of bk's then it becomes very frustrating becuase your unable to do anything. So the other team "Rapes you"

*scratches head* ive never had any trouble winning on lockout do to spawns, unless by some circumstance i get spawned right ontop of the other team.

It's really a matter of preference. Most people prefer to use the BR over any other weapon so they are biased to it. the same can be said about those who choose any other weapon over the BR. The point is that we should agree that not all of TDC game selections need to include BR's. This is not to "bend" to one persons interest but to INCLUDE them in the team. While goddess has said she'll use the BR she prefers SMG starts so why cannot the rest of the clan oblige her request since she is agreeing to use the BR in all the other matches. Having one game without a BR start selected by TDC isn't going to hurt anyone in the clan.
