Greetings from Afghanistan,
My name is Mike and I'm currently serving in Afghanistan but should return to the States soon. On my downtime I've been looking for a possible Halo 2 clan to join that took itself at least semi-seriously. That's when I ran across this one. Unfortunately I haven't logged into XBL (they don't allow that here) since they reset the stats so you can't get a preview of my ability till I return. I really like the structure of the clan and it is basically exactly what I would be interested in joining.
Now just because I haven't played on XBL since I left 5 months ago doesn't mean that I haven't tried to stay upon my game. I brought my XB and H2 here with me and been practicing with guys over here. Granted most are beginners but that allows me to practice to get a hold on some of the finer things in Halo 2. Every now and then there is a Halo 2 tournament over here that I go and participate in, I have yet to lose in these tournaments. Even with semi-beginner teammates we managed to squeeze a win (with me getting 25+ kills on the way to 50)
In fact, things got so bad in my small shop that only way I could play was on a handicap (usually severe) and if I was teamed with the worst players on some cracked out game setup they would come up with. And let me tell you, when it takes four consecutive headshots on one person with a beam rifle from across Coagulation to kill them, it makes the game interesting. Needless to say I'm looking forward to getting back and playing with people of like rank.
Anyways I just wanted to shout out to the clan Team Discovery Channel for being as real a clan as you can be. I look forward to trying out sometime after I return.
Darkenfall out.
