well we went to check out the truck i was gonna get, only to discover some issues which could escalate into structural damage unless thousands are put into it


so now, its on to plan B

today we went and looked at a black 66' Mustang and what i saw was quite sexy. the guy selling it had put about 4 years into restoring it, and only replaced one of the original parts

it has a 286 or a 289 cu. in. v6 cant remember #'s well

if we do end up getting it i will post some pics
if not it may be one of the other 3 stangs we are looking at

im quite excited ;D

Most likely it's a 289. That's not a bad motor but you could easily drop a 302 in there.

Car buying tip: NEVER -ever- buy a car off the side of the road. people make a living off fixing up the exterior and interior but leaving the mechanics to rust to shit.

ok once again we went to look at another car, a 66' Chevelle

it had a 350 cu in engine on this one, you could sit there and just listen to it idle all day, but getting that sucker up to the speed limit was awesome, i mean that sonofabitch is powerful, we did stop in the middle of the road once and smoked the tires, that upped the awesomeness, although you can white smoke a lot of vehicles, ive seen a minivan do it to lol

but this one is now at the top of my list

well the truck was at a dealership, when they went in and inspected it they found some structural issues around the engine, like someone had bottomed out the engine but let it go and sold it

A 66 Chevelle would be sweet. Those cars are awesome but don't get them on ice or snow. No traction at all. There should be room for a 454 if you want to upgrade to real power. A 350 is great, don't get me wrong, but a 454 in a chevelle is the best.
