Yeah, buying the domain name is really cheap. Paying for a host is a little pricey though. However, I think we can continue to use a free host cuz the web site isn't very big and is pretty simple. I will check to see what domain names are available and post it.

tdcclan.org sounds good i can pay for hosting and the domain
for tdc then i can put on the website a paypal thing so people can donate to the website to keep it running we have 18 people on our clan it cost 10 dallers a month to host with eot witch is my internet pervider so if everyone game 1 daller a month that would pay for hosting but if you guys do want a domain i can get one for 5 dallers and hosting for 10 so 100 dallers a year i can pay for that but think about it i want to pay for it all fot team tdc..

i have a noob question. will it be big enough to put movies of us playing on it?
that would be cool. if it ends up being a dollar a month and everyone is in then i am down.

Movies take a lot of file space. The hour or so that I recorded when we battle bones, fusion, and ender was about 800 MB. To host something like that we would have to pay a good amount for a big enough plan. I will take look at price plans.
Another thing to keep in mind is that alot of the clan memers are really young (13, 14, 16) so they probably dont have money to give out. I know a dollar a month isn't much. For our web site needs, a free host is doing alright. I would like to pay for a domain name though. I guess if you want to pay for it Xe-Bec I can't complain, but it bets the question is it really necessary to pay for a hosting plan?
I still want to here what other members think about it. I will send an email to everyone.
I can register tdcclan.org for $9.95 a year. I am pretty sure that is what I would like to use.

Well the footage is about an hour long so that is why it is so big. I wouldn't want to post all of it, just edit out some of the games. Its avi right now and I can compress it some, depending on what kind of quality I want.

yeah i will pay for the domain i can get one for 6 dallers for 4 years so and the hosting will be big enuff for movies and im only 15 to but i use my parents paypal account and i make like 500 dallers a week when im working so lets hear it guys do you want say to people our website is tdcclan.com or that its www.freepgs.com/teamdiscoverychannel/ what sounds better a short name or a big name.. |

Well you have convinced me, tdcclan.org it is. Also, let me know the specifics of the hosting plan that you are looking at (space, bandwith, does it support php and mysql databases, ftp transfer, price, etc).

the domain tdcclan.org sounds the best. I may not be able to contribute anything cuz my dad doesnt't really want me to be in a clan, just keep that on the down low. I am gonna go senior next year so i will have a credit card so then i can pay for some stuff too. Also we should add like little java games to the website just to make things fun. like snake on the cell phone.
