today i put on bfme 2 on my laptop with vista. it was all good it installed i got the patches and i started the game the box saying bfme 2 came up but then the comp went to asome blue screen the crashed i think the sceen said windows has encounted and error shuting down (i think) any with any idea to get bme 2 going?

oh and i also tried to get the newest driver for the laptop and that didnt work either

Try running the game in compatibility mode. Right click on the game icon and select properties. Then click the compatibility tab and select Windows XP SP2. That should hopefully fix your issue.

Yea i sorta had the same problem. It was suggested by my lab partners to not install vista on computers that don't come preinstalled with it. It's too much of a hassle.

yea i tried to put it on compatibility thing but the crappy blue screen keeps appearing ive tried looking through forums through google but none are on it

When I installed vista on my laptop it screwed up the graphics and made the screen very pixelated. I eventually fixed it, but i dont exactly remember how. However, I do remember that when i did fix it I knew i did not have all the patches installed for my laptop. Gillzy, you should should go to your manufactures website and install all of the patches it has. And i think there is a search feauture in vista that tells you which patches you are missing. If all else fails, you can always convert back to xp  |
