Hey guys my couselor from the UC sent me a file to my e mail. I downloaded it but i cant seem to find a program that it requires. When i used to open the file it says: You have chosen to open "noname" which is a multipart/appledouble from mail.google.com. When i download the complete file and click on properties it says: Type of file: File Description: noname Can someone help ============Edit============ I tried to rename it to a .rtf and .doc, and managed to read just the heading. The rest of it is all random letters. Here are the two headings: --Apple-Mail-14--1033633169 Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 Content-Type: application/applefile; name=CosumnesRiver06-07.doc Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=CosumnesRiver06-07.doc and --Apple-Mail-14--1033633169 Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 Content-Type: application/octet-stream; x-mac-type=5738424E; x-unix-mode=0600; x-mac-creator=4D535744; name=CosumnesRiver06-07.doc Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=CosumnesRiver06-07.doc

It looks as though he sent you a Word doc so it should open if your have MS Word installed on your pc. I've never used MS Office on a Mac so I cannot speak to the files saves. They are supposed to be the same format so the documents can be shared between a pc and a Mac. Ask him to resend it and have him make sure it's in a PC compatible file format. Also, check to make sure you have MS Word installed

I double checked to see if my ms word was installed, but it still did not work. I am going to have her send it again so that i can open it in word.
