i need someone to explain why when i have 6.5mb download and .7mb upload and i never get host?
maybe its a router problem...but i did a test on the comp and those 2 #'s are the results...
so i cant be the router if my comp is getting that conection....
also websights lag alot for me, but i can download things fine.

it can either be your computer or you have to much connected to your wirings that it actually slow things down.

Are you sure it's a T1 line. Cable can give you the same speeds. If it is in fact T1 then there's probably some router settings that could be changed to make your connection a little better. Turning off Stateful packet insepction and setting up port forwarding for your xbox might help. Also, if you have a hardware firewall in between your router and modem that could be causing issues with your connection.
I would also ask that you check your NAT with your xbox 360. Just go to the system blade and run a network test. If your NAT come up restricted or closed then that's the reason your not getting host. A restricted NAT will slow down your connections. The setting I suggested in the router before should help open your NAT up.
If all else fails, set the xbox in the DMZ of the router. This way it'll have unrestricted access to the internet without all the router rules.

But you did get host for some of the games which is better than not getting host at all. You cannot expect to get host every time even with your spectacular connection speeds.

It's pathetic. People with great connections never get host (not that they really need it, but it would be nice for everyone else), while people with a connection like Brandon get host 5 games in a row.

When you hook the cable from the modem directly to the xbox did you run a network test to see what your NAT was? If it's still coming up restricted then your ISP has some seeting on the modem that limits connections.

Exactly. Your speed doesn't guarantee host.
