so im trying to play. but my neighbors in the condo next door to me have just gotten a new wireless network set up and my game adapter is picking up that one instead of mine. how can i change this?

go into the wireless setup for your xbox and specify your network as teh one to connect to.

well my game adapter doesnt pick up networks. just wireless internet. so i dont know how to get it to work. the place i live has free internet because its hotel and condos so i just use that for my internet therefore i dont know how to get a new ip address for it

wireless internet is a network. Most wireless networks have an ID they broadcast. Your wireless network setting onthe dashboard should list all the available wireless networks for you to connect to. If you can remember the network you were on then connect to that name, otherwise look for an unsecured wireless network that has a good signal and use that one. Any network listed as encrypted will require a network key to connect fully.
The other thing you could do is go next door and ask your neighbor to set his router to not broadcast his SSID. That way you shouldn't be able to "see" his network.

yeah, ill try that when i get home today thanks rick. its not working out for some reason. also i cant really pick out which network it tries to connect to becuase my adapter just picks up the wireless and it doesnt register as a connection so i cant pick one out in the modify thing
