OK. Well, here's the problem. You can access XBL by high-speed connection (DSL or cable). How about a 2-way satellite connection? I talked to the people at Hughesnet and they said they were faster than DSL but slower than cable. Also, they said there would be a half second delay because of the distance the signal had to travel. Would I be a half second behind the entire game or a half second slower just getting a connection? Please help. I want XBL but I don't want to be unsatisfied with the connection because it's pretty pricey. Help soon please.

I don't think the satellite internet will work with XBL. You need to ask them if they still have bandwidth limits after a certian amount of information downloaded. They used to when I had it. Also, you could just ask them if they support xbox live over their connection. They would know if their connection can support it. There would be a delay but I couldn't say how much because it will depend on network traffic and the fact that they slow down your connection. I'll try to research it for you and post again. =edit= found your answer here: XBox.comThe short answer is satellite internet is not support by Live. See if there's a Wi-Fi internet comapny what services your area. The speeds are said to be better than DSL so it should support live. Again, ask the provider as they would know best.
