My computer's graphics card got fried. Anyone know of a good one for under $100? (Yeah, there's probably a ton, but I'm just asking to see if there's one that's above the rest.)

What interface, AGP or PCI-e?

(out comes my computer building noobiness) Heck, I can't remember. I haven't done anything to that computer in 2 years, so I can't remember. Which way do you tell? (Yep. I'm good at running programs, but I'm not good with the actual parts.)

If the card came out of a brown colored slot that is off-set towards the front of the case then it's AGP. If not the It's PCI or PCI-e

If your computer is more than 2 years old its probably AGP.

We figured it out...he has an AGP card and I pointed him in the direction of a GeForce 6200 or and ATI x1300 AGP 8x card with 512 MB Ram
