Whenever I am playing WOW I always seem to have either somewhat decent latency or really really bad latency. It's either in the yellow for a little while and then goes into the red for the rest of the time I am playing it. Anyways, my question is wtf is the problem? I think it might be the connection speed or possibly how I have my router connected to my computer.

You'd need to tell me how you have your router connected and the type of router so I can try to help you better.

I might know. Are you playing on a US Server? That would give you some of the reason. Right now, I'm on an European server (At least I have been told) and it has some lag, I'm in Green / Yellow. Try switching up servers and see if it is laggier, or less laggy.

well, I probably am on the european server. don't know how to switch servers though. This usually happens when I am playing WOW, my latency is always in the red, which sux ballzorz hardcore! I am connecting directly through my modem to my computer, and then there is a dual converter thing to connect the tv cable to in order for my stuff to work. It's kinda hard to explain but if any of you guys have any suggestions that would be appreciated.

If you going from the modem straight to the computer, try turning off windows firewall. It might be causing the issues.

Yeah. Windows firewall is about as protective as a piece of paper wrapped around a tree being cut down by a chainsaw. Just to make sure: You are running it with a CD, right? Because, if you used a 14/10 day free trial, I'm pretty sure you can get the game without buying the CD. And is the lag all the time, or just when you enter really big cities?
