i just recently got a new video capure card and i am going to start a montage but it didn't come with a editing software so i would like to know which is a good affordable software kthxbye

i use studio 9 and sony vegas... also windows movie maker..

go downlad vagas 6.0, or you can use windows movie maker

adobe premier > vegas video 6 > pinnacle > windows movie maker
but the easiest is windows movie maker
premier is top of the line, but really complicated. The same applies to vegas, although it is a bit simpler. Pinnacle is a very common software, but I never really liked it. Windows movie maker is probably what you should use, especially since it is already on your computer if you have windows XP. It is really simple, but rather noobish.
