alot of my lag problems these days is because my sister is downloading music with limewire
is there away where she can still surf the web but limewire isn't downloading, so i dont have to go up there and turn it off myself, get in a big fight and get grounded...or pull her internet out of the router?
is there a way from my computer to stop her internet from working? but make it look like its working.......or very slowly working?
does that make sence?

easy tell your mom that dloading music is highly illegal and they are starting to crack down on it even more so then they'll make her unistall it then block the site from her dloading it again

I don't get what you are asking rory. Of course you can surf the web and not have limewire running. All you have to do is shut down limewire.
I think you are basically trying to see if there is a way you can keep your sister from lagging you down by shutting of her internet, but not let anyone know why it happened, right? So you don't get in trouble eh? You are funny.

I told you before...log into the router and block her mac address. This will totally block her internet access but not blobk her access to the home network resources.

jesus rick. you're like the computer guy in a heist that's like "hold on just one more minute i'm trying to hack into the mainframe but they have this new version encrypting module...just one more minute!"

It's not like I know everything. I told Rory a few weeks ago about blocking the mac address of her computer but I guess he didn't listen or couldn't figure it out. There's also a way to block the ports that limewire uses in the router to prevent it from every connecting to the service but you would need to know what ports it uses and then setup a rule in the router to block all traffic on that port or ports.

put her fire wall up as high as it can go, because limewire wont work if firewall is blocking it ;D i think
