Place the replay file in the folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\My Battle for Middle-earth™ II Files\Replays
Start the game, click on Multiplayer --> Replays. Then select the game you want to watch. That's it!
How to download/find/save replays:
A replay must be saved in the replay folder of LOTR-BFME, this folder is hidden, so to view hidden files, you must make them viewable:
Start the windows explorer.
Click on Start, Programs, Accessoires, (Windows) Explorer.
Click on the menu “Tools” and “Folder options”. Click on the tab next to general and scroll down till you see an option to view hidden files, click on it and on ok.
Unzip the replay file first if it ends on .zip. You can use WinRAR or Filzip to unzip files.
The replay must be SAVED in:
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\My Battle for Middle-earth™ II Files\Replays
(User= your windows username).
If you do not see the "Replays" folder you must make the replays folder manually. It is not uncommon for the "Replays" folder to not appear at first. Just go ahead and create the folder and it will work just fine.
You can watch the replay by starting the game, when you are in the main screen, click on Multiplayer, Replays and click on the replay you want to watch.
If you have trouble finding the replay folder:
Many people seem to struggle with how exactly they go about finding their replays folder for Bfme2.
You should firstly know that the replays folder isn't created until you save a replay from an online game or LAN game. At this point the game creates the folder in the following location:
C:\Documents and Settings\***Your Username Here***\Application Data\My Battle for Middle-earth™ II Files\Replays
To get to this location you will need to "Show Hidden Files" in windows as application data is hidden. To do this open "My Computer" and then go to tools -> folder options. Next select the "View" tab and in the list of advanced options select "Show Hidden Files And Foders"
Alternatively you can download a shortcut to application data and then navigate to bfme2 replays
Replays you download off this site should be put here in their native ".BfME2Replay" format. That is to say, you should unzip them if they are zipped up smile.gif
If you don't have a replays folder created just make your own in the above location. Note that "Replays" is with a capital R.
