TDC's Halo 3 Sniper Tournament

One our most popular Halo 2 activities is making its first Halo 3 appearance: the snipers tournament. All the info below.

Date: Wednesday June 25
Time: 6:30pm pacific (7:30pm mtn, 8:30pm central, 9:30pm eastern)

Format
Plain and simple, its a FFA snipers game. Your default weapon will be the sniper rifle, secondary will be beam rifle. Weapons on map will be snipers. I will have the settings finalized before the tournament starts. This will be a 8 man max game, meaning if there is more than 8 people present on Wednesday we will split into two parties, with the top 3 from each advancing to the finals. If its only one round, the game will go to 50 kills. If its two rounds, rounds one will be 25 kills, final round will be to 50.

Maps
Please cast your vote above for which map you want to play on. I think small to medium sized maps will work best. You may choose up to 3, the top 1 or 2 will be used in the tournament.

Karma Points
Everyone who participates will receive +1 karma points. In addition, the top three finishers will be rewarded as follows:

1st = +5
2nd = +3
3rd = +1

Blackout, if possible. I'm not aware of any TDC members without the new maps, and it is by far the best FFA Snipers map.

If Blackout get the top votes and anyone doesn't have it that plays on Wednesday, we will go to the next map on the list.

I do not like blackout. It feels really cramped. But I will play it if it wins. Which looks like it did.

eww i cant stand snipers on a map like the pit. i'd prefer an empty foundry over it. way too many corners to camp.. it will just be like that one ffa h2 tournament

I doubt we will have over 8 people on wednesday, and Blackout and Guardian are tied right now. I am guessing it will be on one of those maps.

There is a possibility that I might not be able to make it Wednesday, a friend called me last night and said he might be in town and wants to get dinner. So if that is the case, we will still do the tournament as scheduled, just with out me. If it comes to that I will make sure some one is in charge and knows how to run it. Cooperation from everyone would be the best.
