Here's a few thoughts...the phenom isn't that great of a processor. All the review I read are not that great for it and it gets readily beaten by most dual core intel chips. If you wanted a quad core I would have recommended the intel quad core, even though I am a fan of AMD products.
The motherboard you picked out cannot do SLI so if you were thinking of going that route down the road you'll have to switch to ATI cards and run a cross-fire set-up. Given the card you bought I doubt you'll need to run 2 video cards anyway. That one should do you well for gaming.
I have the same case you bought...buy some extra 120mm fans. It'll help with the case temp.
Good buy on the hard drive. Perpendicular recording is the new recording technology. It allows great storage on fewer platters which equals less moving parts to fail internally.
Which OS will you be running? Windows XP cannot address anything more than 3.2 to 3.5 GB of RAM so having 4GB is kinda overkill for XP but good if you're planning on running Vista or 64 bit XP.
You didn't need the thermal grease, there's some that comes on the heatsink.
Not sure why you got the SATA cable as you motherboard should have come with at least one and the drives may come with a cable. Unless you are planning to use an external SATA port on the motherboard for some thing you probably didn't need that cable.
All in all I'd say you 'll be happy with what your building. I'm sure you did your research before buying what you did. Like I said before you may be a little disappointed in the phenom processor but then again I may be wrong.

My drive didn't come with a cable. I needed another one. By what I read on the Phenom is that it is not bad at all. Compared to what I have, it's an amazing increase.
Yes, I'll be upgrading to 2 video cards later.
Yes, I'm going to be running Vista. I'll be running 6GB ram, actually. I've got a nice stick in mine now that I'm going to pray runs with it.
Have 2 extra 120 mm blue led fans that won't fit in the case I have now.
And as of now, I'm not planning on going SLI until I get my next system.
By what I can tell, it looks great for what I'll be using it for. Guild Wars, maybe UT3, some RTS games (Mainly SC2), Halo 2 PC, and maybe a couple others (as of now). May need to upgrade little things in the future, but if that happens, I'll do it.

Make sure you stick with 32 bit vista since you're planning on gaming on it. Lathough it should work in 64 bit vista people are having too many problems with gaming on a 64 bit OS.

Will do. Don't know if I'll have Premium or Ultimate yet. My parents are getting a computer this weekend (I'm helping them pick it out), and it comes with Vista. Not sure which one. I know Ultimate is amazing, but how big of a resource hog is it?

Don't know I just got it myself. I have the x64 version. Also, do some research on the memory because Vista 32 may only be able to address the same amount as XP. I think that's a limitation of all 32 bit OS's. If you want the full potential of the processor and RAM you may need to run 64 bit.
On the one for your parents, make sure you buy a RAM upgrade at the same time. Most Vista machines only come with 1GB. I would recommend at least 2GB for Vista no matter what version.

You rich sonofabitch! I think the build looks solid. Have a fun time putting it together! I can't wait till i get my new parts... Oh, by the way, I'm going to be upgrading here pretty soon as well. Don't really know if i should get a tripple core proc (2.1 ghz) or a dual core (3.2 ghz)? the proc that i have now is a dual core 2.3 ghz AMD 4400+. +1 for roggie.

My dad says it comes with 4GB of RAM. And it's 64bit Premium Vista. Better off in the long run going with the 64bit.
@ Mind Slaver: I suggest a Quad Core over a Dual core.

Okay, then i guess i'll go for the triple core then. But, seriously you could probably run Crysis on all max with that build of yours.

I don't really care, it's $40 less and has more cores then i do currently. I am on an extremely low budget unlike Roggie. If it works it works.

My friend and I looked at reports on it, saying that the original sucked horrifically with Vista 64bit.
