Wow, shoot me in the face, Roggie proved himself! However, you are a victim of your own neglect. Please update your profile to reflect daylight savings time status (currently off). But I can in fact confirm that "December 11th" was in my original post. As the author, I distinctly remember it being the first thing I wrote. The edit took place to put the post from xbox.com in italics. Besides that, here is proof post and modification times: From my security log: and the actual thread: Anyways, I guess I can't explain why its shows up as such while you are logged in. Even if you fix the DST settings, it should just push things back an hour. But this was fun Roggie.

Yep. It did just move every one back an hour, still showing it as 3:13, with my post at 3:03. Oh well, I'm guessing this gained me a little credibility.

Also won't be buying. I'm not wasting the little money I have on maps that should have been there when the game first came out. Where does it state this?

Nowhere, he just believes it.
And it's only 10 bucks.

It will cost 800 MS points (about $10). As far as the maps being released now instead of 2 months ago...its sounds like Tyler is voicing his opinion in regards to how he feels about how bungie/microsoft manages their time and resources. I understand the sentiment but I don't lose much sleep over it because we have no idea what was going on behind the scenes. In fact, from various posts on bungie.net, they have said that at least some of the maps were in production but not ready at games release. I for one am glad they waited. Its better to release a finished product than a half assed one.

No. Unless they are far better, which they don't sound like they will be, than the ones we currently have, I don't think I'll be getting them.
Oh, and I have your IP now Jeremy.
kekekeke.

I wasn't trying to say that they were ready before release or anything, because I don't know that for sure or not. But, I do think in the time it took to make Halo 3 Bungie could have released more then what, 11 maps? Only a few have any replay value in my opinion. By replay value I mean something I'd like to play twice or more in a row.
If they weren't ready for the release date, fine, but because they can't use their time wisely I have to wait AND pay? How does that make any sense?

You have a valid point about paying but you need to remember that Bungie may want them to be free but MS controls the marketplace and therefor sets whether or not the downloadable content if free. In this case MS is going to milk every cent they can out of the Halo franchise.

You can't blame them. If you were in control, you would do the same thing.
You may say you wouldn't, but you would.

It makes sense only from a business standpoint. Unfortunately it is at the detriment of the consumer, but not too much. Think about it...we were the suckers who paid $400 (or more) for a 360, $60 for Halo 3, its fair to assume the majority of Halo 3 players will pay $10 for some more maps.
