Your community is invited to an invitational 4 vs. 4 tournament hosted by the Halo 2 Junkies from halo2.junk.ws!
As Halo 2 is winding down and Halo 3 is within days of being released, the Halo 2 Junkies would like to welcome your community to participate in a 32 team, single elimination tournament to be held on September 14th & 15th (Friday and Saturday evenings).
Tournament rules[/b]
Registration[/b]
Registration beings on August 1st, 2007 @ 9am Pacific Standard Time and closes on August 31st, 2007 @ 9pm Pacific Standard Time.
Each community has the option of submitting up to *two 4-man teams, with one sub per team, to be entered in the tournament. Individuals that make up each team playing must submit their Gamertags, along with their team and community they represent, to me (Excardon) via email at excardon@junk.ws upon registration.
*Due to the number of community participants, space for two teams is limited and will be granted on a first come first serve basis.[/b]
If a team needs to replace a team member at any time please let me know before the match takes place so I can update the roster info ASAP. The reason for this is because each team needs to know whom they should contact ahead of time in order to carry out their games. Please at if all possible; do not make last minute substitutions. If a situation arises that calls for this, please notify me via email and be willing to vouch that the player who is taking the team mates place is indeed a member of your community.
Tournament Brackets and Rosters[/b]
The tournament bracket and rosters will be kept up to date over at halo2.junk.ws in a stickied thread under the Clan Challenge forum as well as a News post to be able to click on for fast access.
IMPORTANT: To view the brackets, you must be a member of halo2.junk.ws. The registration process for the site is simple and free but registration is necessary in order to view the forums. Keep in mind, we do process registration requests manually so it may take a few hours to register. If you are having issues logging in or signing up, please email me for further assistance.
Game types[/b]
Game types will be predetermined by the tournament administration and will be listed on halo2.junk.ws as well as emailed to you in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet along with the tournament brackets. The game types will be broken down per round and will include specifics on how to setup each game.
Determining the Winner[/b]
Each round will be played out in first to three win series with the exception of the championship match. Once a team wins their third game, they will move on to the next round.
The championship match will be first to four wins instead of three.
Scheduling[/b]
Due to the size of this event, the tournament has been split over a two-day period and official start times will be provided with the tournament bracket. Any form of tardiness for each round over 10 minutes will result in a forfeit by the team (or teams). If both teams do not show on time, both will be eliminated.
The official start times of each round will be in found in the Halo 2 Junkies Tournament thread in the clan forum of halo2.junk.ws. Teams that advance to the next round will be allowed to start their match early if they wish, however each round must start by the designated round time posted in the Halo 2 Junkies Tournament thread.
Round reporting[/b]
To report the round results, you may either instant message the results to XBL Excardon via AIM instant messaging; christinaekowalski@hotmail.com (Athena’s MSN) for MSN messenger; or PM me the results via halo2.junk.ws’s PM system. Upon receiving the results, I will update the brackets ASAP since I will have access to a computer throughout the tournament.
