And it's kind of reasonably inferred that it's a noobish game, given the Needler's reputation / noobishness in past games, when it(the Needler) is dubbed one of the most powerful weapons in the game.

Again, I'm going off that quote. I found it funny. Also, I probably won't be playing it nonstop, seeing as how I don't even have a copy on pre-order yet, if I ever pre-order it at all.

Needler was fun in halo 1 and the helmets might change Gameplay for Halo3... Looks Interesting

Helmets might be OK if each helmet has a different HUD.

And the only way you can really get screwed by it is if you run head on into the attack, or if you aren't paying attention

ie. standing still staring at the pretty butterflies and getting needles jammed up your ass.

They are a great weapon to use when running up behind someone. But, if you are playing anyone with an IQ of over 15, they shouldn't kill you from the front.

I agree with Brandon, its just gay that the needler is a powerful weapon now. In regard to the helmets. They SUCK.

I don't see how that makes anything gay.

Besides remember that this is a BETA, not the final build of the game. All the weapons are being tweaked based on the multiplayer experience. I bet its safe to say that the needler won't be the same, and I know for a fact that the carbine and battle rifle are being evened out.

I just think right now that they're trying to change some things in the game that just don't need to be changed. when i first play halo 3 i want it to feel like the third halo game, not some game unknown to me.

I would welcome a needler buff because in Halo 1 and 2 it was almost useless.

I welcome the changes they are making to halo. I mean think about it, it would be much more fun when you use different weapons and have to use different strategy. My friend saw the MLG thing on TV and he asked me if the sniper, rocket, and battle rifle were the only weapons in the game. I told them their were about 10-15 more weapons that they dont use because they are kind of useless.

I almost forgot that you could use the sentinal beam in mulitplayer because i have not used it in almost a year. I think bungie should give each weapon a specific strength and a specific weakness. It will add more variety to the game, and will alter our stratetegy.

yea the sentinal beam was bungies worst idea for trying to include the sentinal race into the game

and yes the only way you can kill someone with the needler is if...

1) they dont know your shooting at them
2) they have no clue of what there doing
3) trying kill you by running stright after you
