That I needed to try out my new PC setup. I really wanted to get FEAR but gamestop and eb games didn't have it. I looked at Battlefield 2142 but was kinda iffy on it so I went with a game that has gotten glowing reviews, to say the least, from Defcon. I picked up Half-Life 2. I haven't played it yet but I', sure it'll be an experience.

Enjoy Rick, I have been postponing my half life 2 experience until I build a new computer just like you, it seems that will have to wait a bit longer.

I played last night. It looked awesome! I ran the graphics at 1280x1024. Wow was it sexy.

Rick.. just fyi Battlefield 2142 only runs on certain gfx cards.... and its mainly higher ends 512 or higher... and be careful my card dead because of something to do with the game... they said it was because it wasnt one they recommend

I have a GeForce 6800 XT w/512MB of RAM. I should be able to run any game out there but thanks for the warning Peter.

postpone your half life 2 until it comes out for 360
word from the magazines is ..its going to look way better on the 360
and
u get games like portal and team fortress 2 ...all on one disk

Actually Rory...in my experience that games are best on their original platoform. CS sucked big balls on xbox, Halo PC was not very good. And as far as graphics...its true, xbox 360 is top of the line, you can run games in high def and at a better resolution that most people don on their PC's. But remember that your computer monitor has always been high def, and has the same graphics ability as a 360, and high end PC's can be even better. Bigger and better video cards have been introduced since the xbox 360. So if you have the game setting set to a minimum, it might look better on the 360. But if your PC is man enough to run the HL 2 at its full potential, the graphics will be unbeleivable. My bros computer is like that and HL 2 looks freaking awesome on it.

thats pretty much what i meant..was graphic wise.....because in oxm..they said they re did alot of the graphics for the 360 release
