How are they not Spartans Roggie, sorry, I mean Thee Rogster??? lol. In the preview they say something like "This is Spartan squad # xxx ...". I would take that to mean that they actually are spartans, no?

If I remember correctly, and this is memory, it said in the bungie weekly thing the game takes place at the start of the covenant/human war. The spartans, if I remember correctly, were created for the war, meaning they were not there at the start. If they are in the game, then the game does not take place where bungie said it did.

I just watched it again. Man is this game gonna be cool. The quote from the spartan is "This is Spartan group Omega, if they want war, we'll give 'em war." So this should be the first appearance of the Spartans from the project. Re-read the Fall of Reach and you'll see the project was going on before the war started so the Spartans would have been ready to fight in a skirmish prior to Halo 1 storyline IMO.

I still don't like the aspect of a spartan right away. They should come in and save your ass near the end of the game.

Well since its an RTS I assume a group of spartans would be some sort of special faction in the game, not some sort of infantry that you spam with.
Roggie, did you watch the video?

Yes, I watched the v ideo. I like when the dude dies by the sword, and his teammate hears him screaming.

If it's like AoE, and if I remember correctly, then there are workers. Who would the workers be?
Covenant - Engineers? Grunts? Human - Marines? But then Marine's couldn't fight.
Unless they did what Battle Realms did where everytime you get a Peasant, or Grunt / Marine in this case, you could either eleave them to get supplies and whatnot, or you could send them through various buildings like an Armory, to give / train them with an AR, a Shooting Range to give / train them with a SR, or like...a Demolition bulding to train them with Rockets.

I don't know waht the Human builder will be. The Covie one will probably be teh engineer, and grunts will be weak, massable creatures. I can't see the Battle Realm way working, but I can see the normal way working: Just build them out of an armory or archery range, or whatever.

I am sure plenty of characters will be introduced in this so that the game has plenty of depth, with is needed for a good RTS.

Well I mean if it's before Halo, that is The Fall of Reach like I said. I don't remember any workers in the book...
Like...there were techs, which helped MC get in his armor and stuff...but that's it.

My point is that they will have to introduce those kind of people or else an RTS will make no sense. And if you kind of think literally it makes perfect sense.
