how do u know halo 3 is going to be better than halo 2 (im sorry for what im about to say) i have seen first hand that ther are games that have not been hyped even close to the level of halo..such as unreal..that were fucking fun...or games like quake 4..... hype has nothing to do with how good the game will be...all the hype is ..how good the game will sell.....for example..most ea games ..suck balls..but theyusell because they are hyped..blahblah Rory, you are a complete donkey. No were in my post did I say anything about halo 3. All I said was that Halo 2 was uber hyped up. Never did I imply hype = good. Donkey! ok fine i admit it..i was a donkey for a second....however everybody on here is hoping/thinking that halo 3 will be better than halo 2..and the second that it is announed....ppl will be like OMGZORZZ!!!!!!!!!! or not.. im in no rush for a 360 or another halo game, especially after such a let down that is halo 2.

If Halo 2 was SUCH a let down, then why do we still play it, or have just recently quit playing it? Halo 2 was a great game, just our imaginations hyped it up to the point where we were expecting cortana to come out and pleasure us. Turns out, it didnt happen. Boo hoo. What we DID get tho, was HUNDREDS of hours of insane multiplayer that has taken a firm grasp on our souls. I am done. <3 <3 <3 Halo 3!!! OMG!!!

joe cortana did come out, but she gave me a slap to the face and ate all my chips
and when GOW comes out i will surrender my life to that game, it is so tactical, you try to run and gun, and you will die..... a lot

OMG!!! ok mabey i should say it differently.. halo 2 rapped...it did....but it has gotten to the point where we have all played it so much, where even the tiniest bit of lag, can fuck up our experiene...it has gotten to the point where we notice the milisecond differences and tiny little things and those fuck up our experience combined with the fact that matchmaking is no longer fun....and that i am getting sick of playing the same maps over and over and over and over and over and over (that was cool to type btw)...it has gotten stupid....i cant stand it anymore and the only reason i still play it is because 1. i am pretty decent at it... 2.most of my friends play it and invite me and then i look at other games, like umm unreal (sry) and i see how many more maps, and the variety of maps there are, and how fast paced the gameplay is, and it just makes halo even more lame. to sum up........halo 2 is good...but we4 have all played it to much to the point where its fucking gay |

It did? Who came up with the beat? I imagine it resembling something close to an MC Hammer song. In fact, MC Hammer did make a song about Halo 2 matchmaking, it was called "Too Legit to Quit".
No matter what anyone may think there is something to be said Halo 2 that puts it apart from ANY other console game, no matter what genre. It remains the most played game on xbox live, which one might interpolate to the most played xbox / xbox 360 game, still. Obviously it has some longevity. It is the game that provides the most competive experience for a console these days. Exibit A - Major League Gaming. How many professional xbox unreal players do you know of Rory?
Does is have problems? Fuck yes. It could have been so much better. I think that most of our frustrations about the game dwell from xbox live related issues. LAN's are 100% more fun and they give you a renewed joy when playing the game. But the fact remains that Halo 2 is so much better than any other console FPS out there (at least right now) it is ridiculous. If other games offered better multiplayer with more depth and a better environment for teamwork and to be competitive, I think that by now Halo 2 would have been replaced. But guess what, it hasen't.
That's not to say Halo 2 won't be replaced. It will be. Will it be GoW? Could be. Halo 3? More than likely because bungie has the formula for success down. Despite their flaws, they have created a game that can be played in a competitive environment better than anyone else (consoles).
Rory, unreal is no where near the level of Halo, get over it.

yes halo 2 is better than unreal...i admit it
but when u play a game for over a year..and thAts the only game u play,,,unreal is/was sooo damn refreshing, i mean, it is so faced paCed,,,,the weapons behave differentlu, and even though u get this gay little adrenaline thing u can do....it waS stupid but it was still fun.......its was a very refreshin change..aanndd iii fffooud it to be just as funas hAlO;

and just because a game isn't as good as halo,,,,doesn't mean it cant be just as fun or funner!
for example...there is a gay little game called marble blast ultra..where ur a marble and u collect jems.....and even though it in no way compares to halo..its still fucking fun...i could spend hours on that game..

the reason people get tired of Halo is because they have played it a long time....and they know the game to well..they know how long it takes to smg someone..how long it takes to br someone and how much damages grenades do from different distances....and if one of these change just one time out of 100 games you get pissed...cuz ur so used to it happening the way it supposed too...and its not all ways goin to be like that.....the same results will not happen evrytime because of different circumstances or what not......Halo 2 is the best game ever to come out on Xbox or Playstation..no matter what anyone say about it...you know down deep in ur heart halo is/was ur favorite game for like a year and it can never be outdone until maybe GoW or Halo 3 or whatever...but Halo 2 is the best game i have ever played.....and if something doesnt happen the way u suspect it to happen u get pissed......
