Here's the results from TDC's first scrimmage in a long time. I must say the Junkies came at us with some real gaming power. All the games we close and hard fought.
Game 1--1 Flag on Lockout
This is one of TDC's traditional tryout game types. While we haven't played in it a long time we still managed to squeak out a win. The junkies made it tough though. After TDC scored 2 flags in the first round the Junkies countered with 3 scores of their own, putting TDC in a tough situation. On TDC's next round we managed to pull out 2 more score to put us in the lead. The Junkies tried to come back in in the final round but TDC was able to hold them off.

Second Game--BR Slayer on Zanzibar
All I have to say is wow. This map was a Junkies strength. They dominated the map early, getting most of the power weapons from the get go. We tried our best to keep it close but the Junkies were just too good on this map. Dr Viper from the Junkies is a beast with the sniper. He rivals even TDC's best snipers Hellion and Spartan Project.

Game 3--Team Snipers on Colossus
TDC started off strong in this game getting an early lead but the Junkies came right back and took the lead from us. From there on out the lead changed hand several times before the Junkies just started to pull away. It looked as though TDC might have been able to make a comeback at one point but the Junkies quickly stopped it, pulling ahead and eventually winning the match. On a side note Hellion sat in for FrkUout during this game.

Game 4--Team Crazy Low King on Turf
For those that don't know, every member of the team needs to have 30 seconds in the hill to win. This game was a nail biter for the entire game. The lead changed hands several times. Both team got down to the wire only needing one or two people to get into the hill. it was that way for probably the last couple minutes of the game but eventually we got Luigi in the hill for the win. Another hard fought game by both teams!

Game 5--Team Slayer on Midship
This was the final game of the best of five series and boy was it a good one. Initially the rules were SMG starts and map default weapons. TDC asked for a last minute change due to a roster change. We asked to have the rules as MLG. The Junkies agreed to the rules change and the game proceeded. TDC pulled out to an early lead but the Junkies fought back hard. The pulled within a couple kills and eventually took the lead from us. We rallied together and with Spartan Project leading the way TDC pulled out a narrow victory. Again, our hats off to the Junkies for a hard fought battle. On a side note, Hellion was sitting in for FrkUout.

Now that all the games are out of the way I'd like to thank Athena and the Halo 2 Junkies for seeking us out and challenging us. It has been a long time since TDC has had any challenges or made any challenges and this was something we really needed. The Junkies fought hard in every battle and they are all top notch players. Not once during any game was there trash talking from either team. That in itself was very refreshing.
Thanks again junkies and we here at TDC are looking forward to a rematch someday!
